Of course many presets aren't that useful, but I found for example, the mastering preset called 'loud and clear' from the classic T-Racks suite with a chain of an EQ, Comp, limiter and clipper, placed on the main bus, consistently just about nails what I would be looking for. They have inserted an intermittent annoying noise in demo mode, but if you have an IK user account, and are logged on-you can demo the fully functional product for 14 days. You can load up the free custom shop and give it a try. Toontracks EZMix stuff seems pretty good, But based on my trials, I'd actually consider a T-Racks package if I was going to spend that kind of money on third party processors. iZotopes has a nice product line, but in my experience the chain presets arent good at all. I have a few, and have demo'd a few more, seems to be pretty nice stuff, and the T-Racks chain presets seem superior to most similar products. IK is having a group buy deal right now on individual T-Racks processors as well, if anyone is interested.
